April Showers

After the rain we took a little walk yesterday and I also planted some peppers and tomatoes in the garden. Can't wait for everything to start growing.

Ohio Roller Girls

Stef and I went to watch our first match of roller derby (!) on Saturday. Once we figured out how the game is played, it was really exciting to watch, especially since both local teams won their match. Oh, did I mentioned Stef's neighbor is on the team, and her roller derby name is Helvetica? Yeah, she went to art school too.

On sunday my dad tilled our little patch of dirt to get it ready for planting and Kai helped in his own little way. Man, that boy sure loves dirt! But then I guess, what kid doesn't?

Wednesday Brunch

Here is where Anne and I had brunch yesterday.

COSI

I really love my friend Stefanie. She's incredibly resourceful, good humored and helps me get the boy out of the house and visit some really fun places around Columbus. Places I probably wouldn't go to otherwise. One of these places is Cosi, a fantastic local science museum. If you are ever in Columbus looking for something to do with the fam, this is one place to go.

Ok, I'm off to brunch with another great friend and then gotta get some work done in the studio.

Kai is currently infatuated with trains including train tracks. Like right now, as I'm typing, he's singing the Thomas and Friend's theme song on my lap. So what better trip to take than to our local train tracks?

On a side note, I think I really need new walking shoes.
